Safer Roads for Horses, Riders and Carriage Drivers

Too many horses, riders and carriage drivers face dangerous situations on our roads. It's time for action.

Over the past year, hundreds of horse riders, carriage drivers, horse owners and other road users from across the country have contacted Lee Dillon MP to share their concerns about the dangers they face on Britain's roads.

Their experiences have been strikingly consistent: dangerous overtakes, excessive speed, the loss of bridleways, drivers who are unaware of how to pass horses safely, and far too many near misses that could easily have resulted in tragedy.

These concerns have prompted parliamentary debates, secured cross-party support in Westminster, and led to direct engagement with the Government. While Ministers have acknowledged that more must be done to improve awareness of road safety around horses, riders and carriage drivers, meaningful practical action is still needed.

That is why Lee Dillon MP is asking for your support in this campaign to make Britain's roads safer for horses, riders and carriage drivers.
