Stop Reading's Land Grab!

Reading Council have voted to take over Pangbourne and make it part of Greater Reading. Our MP is backing their move to annexe Pangbourne along with Purley, Tilehurst and Theale.

Pangbourne is a self-contained village with a clear green boundary between us and Reading.  Our services are provided by West Berkshire Council which represents many small rural communities, as well as our own Parish Council which maintains and invests in our river meadow, playground, toilets and many other services

Do you think you would be better off if the parish council was abolished and all of its services were provided directly from Reading?

Would you be happy to lose kerbside glass recycling and be forced to drive to a recycling bin as happens in Reading?

Would you be happy to pay 4% more council tax on average under Reading Borough Council?

Would you prefer to stay with West Berkshire as it forms Ridgeway Council, or would you prefer to become a district of Reading?

Sign our petition today to back our campaign to stop Reading Borough Council’s land grab.
