Twenty miles per hour speed sign.

Local residents raised concerns at a Newbury Central ward surgery about speeding on Craven Road and elsewhere in West Fields.

West Berks Councillor Cllr Louise Sturgess worked with West Berkshire Council to make sure residents’ concerns were acted on, and within weeks new 20mph speed limit signs were erected all over West Fields.

After concern was raised about safety at the crossroads of Chalford Road and Clifton Road, West Berks Councillor Cllr Martin Colston was successful in having the road markings repainted with the addition of Give Way triangles.

Newbury Town Cllr Sarah Slack has been pushing hard to get potholes repaired in Rockingham Road.
