West Berks says no to Brexit

Two years and five months since the EU Referendum, our poll in Northbrook Street confirms West Berks residents still believe the Brexit negotiations are going badly, and that Brexit will be bad for jobs and the NHS.

After plenty of heated debate about Brexit since the EU Referendum, our poll of shoppers and visitors in Northbrook Street on Saturday 24th November 2018 confirms West Berks residents still believe the Brexit negotiations are going badly, and that Brexit will be bad for jobs and the NHS.

There was a lively debate with some, but in summary, the opinions expressed were very clear:-

  • 75% think Brexit will be bad for jobs
  • 77% think Brexit will be bad for NHS
  • 90% think legal immigrants are good for the economy
  • 91% don't want our standards on food, environment and consumer protection to be compromised in future trade deals
  • only 6% think Richard Benyon MP represents them on Brexit
  • 71% support the People's Vote
