Across the West Berkshire area, hundreds of small independent shops, cafés and other businesses are beginning to re-open following the coronavirus lockdown. These businesses help make our local community what it is, and play a crucial role in our local economy.
Lockdown has hit these local businesses hard, and for some their very existence may now be under threat. Losing these businesses would be detrimental to the soul of our town, and could cost hundreds of local jobs.
As lockdown eases, the West Berkshire and Newbury Liberal Democrats are pledging to shop local. We know every penny we spend in our local shops and businesses over the next few months will help them to survive, and protect local jobs as they do so.
Will you join us? Take the Shop Local Pledge by filling out the form below and sharing it with your family and friends.
